This is just a reminder about suspicious mail and powdery substances in the mail. The employees’ safety is paramount, and our customers’ safety is important. Please always be on the lookout and follow the protocols to the “T.” There has recently been an uptick in these items in the mail. Most likely in the run-up to the national election. But we should all be on the lookout all the time for these. With fentanyl in the mail, other opioids, past anthrax, and other poisons having been mailed, we should always be vigilant. If management does not follow the protocols if you have an incident, please fill out PS-1767, file necessary grievances, and reach out to your Regional Coordinators for them to escalate to the  Area level or up to me if necessary.
